产品描述:Recombinant Human Indian hedgehog protein (IHH) (Active) is a partial length protein expressed without tag in E.coli. Its expression region corresponds to 29-202aa of human IHH protein. Its purity was determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC and reached up to 96%. It is presented a molecular mass band of 19.8 kDa on the gel. The endotoxin of this IHH protein is less than 1.0 EU/ug measured by the LAL method. It was also identified as an active protein through a functional ELISA. This recombinant IHH protein may be used to synthesize antibodies against IHH or on the studies of IHH-associated signal transduction. IHH proteins in-stock are available.
IHH is a member of the hedgehog family of proteins which are essential secreted signaling molecules. These signaling molecules regulate a variety of developmental processes including growth, patterning and morphogenesis. And IHH specifically plays a role in bone growth and differentiation. IHH mutations are the cause of brachydactyly type A1, which is characterized by shortening or malformation of the fingers and toes. -

功能:Intercellular signal essential for a variety of patterning events during development. Binds to the patched (PTC) receptor, which functions in association with smoothened (SMO), to activate the transcription of target genes. Implicated in endochondral ossification: may regulate the balance between growth and ossification of the developing bones. Induces the expression of parathyroid hormone-related protein (PTHRP).
