Cytochrome c oxidase subunit NDUFA4 is a protein in humans that is encoded by NDUFA4 gene. Cytochrome c oxidase (COX, complex IV) is the terminal component of the mitochondrial respiratory chain that catalyzes the reduction of oxygen to water. Required for complex IV maintenance.
