    RAC-beta丝氨酸/苏氨酸蛋白激酶是人类中由AKT2基因编码的一种蛋白质。AKT2是AKT激酶家族中的3种密切相关的丝氨酸/苏氨酸蛋白激酶之一(AKT1、AKT2和AKT3),这些激酶调节许多过程,包括代谢、增殖、细胞存活、生长和血管生成。这是通过对一系列下游底物进行丝氨酸和/或苏氨酸磷酸化来介导的。到目前为止,已报道了100多个底物候选者,但对大多数底物来说,没有报道其异构体特异性。AKT通过介导胰岛素诱导的SLC2A4/GLUT4葡萄糖转运蛋白向细胞表面转位来调节葡萄糖摄取。

    RAC-beta serine/threonine-protein kinase is a protein in humans that is encoded by AKT2 gene. AKT2 is one of 3 closely related serine/threonine-protein kinases (AKT1, AKT2 and AKT3) called the AKT kinase, and which regulate many processes including metabolism, proliferation, cell survival, growth and angiogenesis. This is mediated through serine and/or threonine phosphorylation of a range of downstream substrates. Over 100 substrate candidates have been reported so far, but for most of them, no isoform specificity has been reported. AKT is responsible of the regulation of glucose uptake by mediating insulin-induced translocation of the SLC2A4/GLUT4 glucose transporter to the cell surface.
