Recombinant Chicken Interferon type B (IFNB)

This recombinant Chicken IFNB protein is an E.coli-expressed protein (Full Length of Mature Protein). At the theoretical level, the steps needed for obtaining a recombinant protein are pretty straightforward. Obtain the IFNB gene, clone it in an expression vector, transform it into the host of choice, induce it, and then, the protein is ready for purification and characterization. IFNB (also known as IFN2) is a protein encoding gene that provides an instruction in making a protein named interferon type B (short name is IFN-beta). The protein encoded by this gene belongs to alpha/beta interferon family and has antiviral, antibacterial, and anticancer properties. IFNB is a key regulator in several pathways, such as cytokine-mediated signaling pathway and positive regulation of toll-like receptor 3 signaling pathway, and is involved in multiple biological processes, including adaptive immune response, defense response to virus and negative regulation of cytolysis, etc.
